Media Owner Showcase

Highlighting the contributions that major UK media organisations are making towards the climate crisis operationally, strategically and creatively.

We are increasingly being asked by clients to align media partners choices with the brand values and purpose of their organisation. Therefore, as part of the charter we want to offer media agencies the ability to easily assess the sustainability commitments and plans of our media partners, assisting them to make client positive planning decisions.

To that end, we are looking to build a cross-industry media owner sustainability database, to highlight the many varied and significant contributions towards sustainability that our key partners are making and increase the visibility of these efforts for all media agencies. It will serve as a guide to help the industry find more climate positive solutions to briefs as well as surfacing and sharing inspiring case studies from media partners & brands working together to meet a sustainability goal.

As part of the IPA Media Climate Charter, we are currently developing a comprehensive Sustainable Media Showcase, to highlight the contributions that major UK media organisations are making towards the climate crisis operationally, strategically and creatively.

Our ambition is that the showcase will support the media industry’s transition to a carbon zero carbon future in several ways:

  • By encouraging greater transparency around the carbon impact of media buying
  • By enabling media planners to develop lower carbon media plans
  • By surfacing & sharing inspiring sustainable campaigns and green media opportunities

The showcase will provide detailed information on each media partner’s sustainability efforts and credentials:

  1. Carbon Emissions: current, forecast & targets
  2. Sustainability achievements: awards, accreditation, successes & campaign case studies
  3. Sustainable opportunities: partnerships / content / innovation available to brands in the sustainability space

We are looking to add to this regularly.
